In Seremban, the AI Answered in Tamil
Halfway through the morning, the screen at one table filled up with words none of us at the front could read.
This was a full-day AI training session for a group of AIA advisors in Seremban, running from nine to five on a Friday at Era Square.
Several people in the room work with their clients in Tamil, so when they started building their own AI helpers, they simply told them to reply in Tamil. Neither of us running the day speaks a word of it. That left the checking to the people who did: they read the output, decided what sounded wrong for a real client, adjusted the instructions, and ran it again.
It made for a quick room. Once they saw the thing answer them in their own language, they stopped waiting to be told what to try next and just kept going.
