Discuss First, Then Explain It Back
Nobody knew whose hands the microphone would land in next, and that kept the whole room a little more alert than usual.
This was a full-day AI training session for a group of AIA advisors in Kuala Lumpur, running from nine to five on a Thursday.
Instead of one long lecture, the day moved in short rounds: work through a piece of it, talk it over in small groups at the table, then have someone stand up and report back to everyone else before moving on. Who ended up presenting changed every round, so almost no table got to sit back and let someone else do the talking.
By the end of the day, the room had gone from a few enthusiastic hands raised at the very first question to a steady rhythm of table talk and quick presentations that carried the whole day through.
