A Chatbot on Your Website Without the Development Project
On 12 January 2025 we ran a session on putting an AI chatbot on your website.
The ground covered was practical: handling enquiries, capturing leads, and answering in more than one language. That last one matters more in Malaysia than most places. A customer who starts in Malay and switches to English mid-sentence is normal, and a bot that cannot follow is worse than no bot.
The reason this is worth an evening is that it used to be a development project. Scoping, a quote, a timeline, someone to maintain it. Now it is an afternoon, which changes who it is available to. A one-person business can have the same front desk as a company with a support team.
What surprised the room was the lead capture. Most people came thinking of a chatbot as a way to answer questions. It is also the thing that notices a visitor was interested at 11pm on a Sunday and gets you their details before they close the tab.
Chatbots are a core module in the AI Innovator Program, with no coding needed and your own bot live by the end of it.
