ChatGPT Team Essentials With Two Groups in One Day

On Monday, 4 August 2025 we ran ChatGPT Team Essentials twice in one day, for two groups drawn from management and from various departments.

Three things were on the table. Team accounts, and what changes when a whole department shares one AI workspace instead of everyone quietly using their own. Prompt engineering, so the output is accurate enough to act on. Then Custom GPTs and ChatGPT Projects, which is where the automation of genuinely repetitive work begins.

Running the same material twice in a day is a useful exercise. The second group gets a slightly better session, because the first one shows you which explanation lands and which one needs rebuilding over lunch.

The team account piece is the part most companies underestimate. Individual staff experimenting with AI on personal accounts is not the same as a department with shared projects, shared prompts and a shared standard for checking output. One is a collection of habits. The other is a capability.
