The Second Batch, High Above the City

The room was on a high floor at Menara AIA Sentral, Kuala Lumpur’s skyline behind the trainer instead of a whiteboard. This was the second batch of AIA’s people to come through, on Friday, 5 June 2026.

Advisors worked in small clusters around round tables, laptops and tablets side by side, and the loudest parts of the day were not the trainer’s but the tables. Someone would finish building something, reach for the roving mic, and read it out to the room before anyone had asked for it. Peer sharing beats scheduled sharing.

By the group photo at the end, the mix in the room stood out: different departments, different ages, all in one row, an easy sign that a full day had brought a wide range of people to the same starting point.
