Custom GPTs Are More Fun Built Together
A Custom GPT is a version of ChatGPT you set up once for a job you do repeatedly. You give it a name, a picture, a description, and a set of instructions about how it should behave.
Written down like that it sounds like configuration. In practice it is closer to a jam session, and it works far better in a room than alone.
Someone suggests a sharper instruction. Someone else points out that the tone is wrong for their customers. A third person adds a conversation starter nobody had thought of. Within twenty minutes the thing is noticeably better than what any one person would have built, and everyone has quietly learned how the instructions actually affect the output.
That is the part worth stealing even if you are working solo: show your GPT to somebody and ask them to try breaking it. You will learn more in five minutes of watching them use it than an hour of tweaking it yourself.
Building Custom GPTs is one of the first things we do in the AI Innovator Program, in a small enough group that people can show each other what they made.
