A Website in the First Two Hours, an App in the Next
On 9 June 2026 we ran Introduction to Vibe Coding for the staff of a software company, four hours split down the middle.
The material was their own website. Not a sample project, not a demo about a fictional company - they took the real company site and rebuilt it.
Claude Code pulled the content off the existing site into a document, generated a complete React site from it, ran it locally, pushed it to GitHub and deployed it live on GitHub Pages. Nine to eleven, start to finish.
Using the real thing is what makes a session like this stick. A sample project is an exercise you forget by Friday. Your own website is something you recognise, argue with, and know exactly how you want it to look.
The second two hours were an application. An ROI calculator that shows a prospective customer what they would save: a React front end for the inputs and the results, a C# API doing the arithmetic behind it, the two wired together and tested end to end.
The second half is the one that matters. A website is a demonstration. A calculator the sales team can open in front of a customer on Monday morning is a tool, and it was built between eleven and one.
We run sessions like this in house and they are HRD Corp claimable. Details are on the corporate training page.
