A Reunion Session for People Moving From ChatGPT to Claude

AI Sharing #19 ran online on Sunday, 21 June 2026, 9 to 10 in the evening. It was open to past, current and incoming members, which made it something closer to a reunion than a class.

That framing shaped the hour. Everyone in the room had already learned an AI tool, most of them ChatGPT. The question was not what AI can do. It was whether it was worth moving.

We went through Claude’s artifacts, then the connectors that reach into calendar, email, file storage and presentation tools, then how Claude works inside Word and Excel. After that, automations people had actually put into service: issuing certificates, generating invoices, sending renewal reminders, scheduling social posts.

The tip that got the strongest reaction was the smallest one, saved for the end. You can carry your AI memory from one tool to another. You do not have to start from scratch.

That matters more than it sounds. The real cost of switching tools is rarely the tool. It is the months of context you have built up, the preferences it has learned, the way it has come to write like you. Once people saw that it travels, the decision became a much easier one.
