When AI Is Good Company

A participant told us they had assumed AI was cold. Lines of code, calculations, nothing behind the words. Then they used one that responded to what they had actually said, and the assumption did not survive.

We want to be precise here, because it is easy to overclaim. The model does not feel anything. What it does is recognise what is being expressed and respond in a way that fits, and for a person who needed someone to say something sensible at eleven at night, the distinction matters less than you would think.

Another participant built a morning encouragement bot. It suggests music, offers a small reminder to be kind to themselves, and on a difficult day says something better than nothing. Not sophisticated. Genuinely used.

We have noticed these projects get dismissed as unserious, usually by people who have not built one. They require the same skills as any other, and they get used far more often, because they fit into the day rather than sitting in a folder.

Building something you will actually use is the whole point of the AI Innovator Program.
