AI Writes Your Hari Raya Pantun

Hari Raya arrives with a specific small pressure. The greetings need sending, and a plain message feels thin when everyone else manages a pantun.

One participant decided that was a solvable problem and built a Hari Raya pantun generator with ChatGPT. You give it a subject, whether family, forgiveness, or rendang, and it returns something that rhymes, scans and actually means something.

What we liked was not the cleverness. It was that the output still felt personal, because the person choosing the subject knew who they were writing to. The machine handled the meter. The sender supplied the sentiment.

There is a version of this argument that says technology flattens tradition. We would say the opposite happened here. Someone who would have sent four plain words sent something with care in it instead.

The same trick works for wedding wishes, thank-you notes and every other small piece of writing people avoid because they are not sure they will do it well.

Building small tools like this is the first thing we do together in the AI Innovator Program.
