Episode 1
The Dream of Qing Qing 青青之梦
English Synopsis
Qing Qing is a 23-year-old palm reader living deep inside the Forbidden City. She is the daughter of a Qing dynasty prince who supports political reform, but Qing Qing follows a quieter path, reading the fate of others through the lines on their hands. Her gift has earned her both fear and respect from those in the palace.

One rainy day, a young imperial guard named Shen Tao visits her. Qing Qing reads his palm and sees a difficult choice ahead, one that may cost him his life. She warns him of a man in green robes who will speak well but bring danger. Though she tries to remain only a witness to fate, something about Shen Tao stays with her.

As the empire begins to show signs of weakness in the year 1905, Qing Qing starts to see strange changes in the palms of those around her. Destiny itself seems to be shifting. This first episode introduces a world full of secrets, uncertainty, and quiet power.

Can knowing the future help change it? Or does it only bring the weight of knowing what cannot be stopped?

Episode 2
The Line That Splits 断线
English Synopsis
A year has passed since Qing Qing warned Shen Tao of a dangerous choice written in his palm. Now in 1907, the Forbidden City remains outwardly calm, but something beneath its surface has begun to shift. Qing Qing continues to read palms, yet the patterns she sees have changed—life lines are breaking, futures cut short, as if fate itself is unraveling.
Shen Tao returns to her quietly and more often. Though few words pass between them, their bond deepens. One rainy afternoon, he offers his hand again. This time, Qing Qing sees something new. His palm now carries two diverging paths. One of them is born from a recent letter, revealing his younger brother has joined a revolutionary group. Shen Tao finds himself caught between duty and blood, torn between loyalty to the empire and a growing uncertainty about its future.
Qing Qing, too, feels the weight of knowing what she cannot stop. As more broken fate lines appear and whispers of rebellion grow louder beyond the palace walls, she begins to wonder if the future can still be changed, or if it has already begun to fracture.
Some lines are drawn by fate. Others, by choice. And some, by love.

Episode 3
The Hand of Rebellion 叛手
English Synopsis
Shen Tao returns to Qing Qing's courtyard without his armor—no longer just a guard, but a man carrying questions that reach beyond the palace. He speaks of a gathering outside the city, and Qing Qing senses a shift in him she cannot ignore.
Later, she is summoned to read the palm of a visiting scholar named Mr. Song, a charming and eloquent figure. But when her fingers trace his palm, she finds something chilling: the absence of a fate line. He is a man without a future—by choice, or by design.
As rebellion stirs beyond the walls, Shen Tao’s younger brother dies in what appears to be an ambush. Doubt creeps in. Was it fate—or betrayal?
Lines on hands begin repeating—a strange, sharp curve she has only seen once before—now appearing in others. Qing Qing starts to realize this revolution has already reached deeper into the palace than anyone admits.
And perhaps, into her as well.

Episode 4
Palm of the Nation 掌控之国
English Synopsis
After the sudden deaths of the Emperor and Empress Dowager, the palace grows quieter, but not calmer. A child now sits on the throne, watched over by men who speak in careful tones and walk with wary steps. Outside, the world stirs with unrest, and Qing Qing begins to feel that the winds are no longer distant.
She is summoned to read the palm of a new interpreter, a young man who studied in Japan. His hand reveals not a future, but a decision. A death line. Qing Qing senses that he carries more than words behind his polite smile.
That same night, she uncovers a long-buried letter written by her late mother, revealing that Qing Qing may not be fully Manchu after all. Her blood, like the empire she lives in, is not as pure, or as fixed, as she once believed.
When a message arrives from Shen Tao, warning her of Mr. Song’s true nature, Qing Qing begins to understand: the revolution has already reached the palace.
And she is no longer standing outside of it.

Episode 5
Between Fire and Silence 静火之间
English Synopsis
In the summer of 1910, the palace grows quieter—and more dangerous. Qing Qing and Shen Tao’s bond deepens in silence, finally reaching a moment of still, unspoken truth. But love, in the shadow of rebellion, is fragile.
A failed assassination rocks the inner court. The attacker vanishes. Qing Qing knows where he went—and who helped him. Shen Tao asks for no loyalty. Yet she keeps his secret.
Then, the unthinkable: her father is arrested, accused of treason.
As fear thickens within the walls, Mr. Song returns—not as a scholar, but as a man of influence and veiled threats. He offers Qing Qing a choice: stay silent, or be swept away.
She begins to understand that silence is not safety.
And fire, even when hidden, is already burning.

Episode 6
The Day The Line Snapped 断命之日
English Synopsis
The Wuchang Uprising erupts, and the empire begins to crumble. Provinces break away. The Forbidden City no longer feels safe, even for those born inside it. Qing Qing is watched closely, her presence now seen as a risk.
Then, unexpectedly, Mr. Song reappears. He offers her a chance to leave the palace. For reasons she cannot fully understand, she accepts—and escapes before dawn.
Outside the palace, she reunites with Shen Tao, now a quiet revolutionary working behind maps and letters, not swords. He asks for something unusual: to read the palms of fighters who no longer believe in leaders, but still believe in fate.
By candlelight, Qing Qing reads the lines of broken hands—not for destiny, but for courage. And when she looks at Shen Tao’s hand, she finds that two diverging paths have become one.
Far away, more provinces fall. But in that small room, something else is reclaimed: belief in a future not written, but chosen.

Episode 7
The Palm I Could Not Read 我未读的掌纹
English Synopsis
The dynasty has fallen. The banners come down quietly. There are no more emperors—only a fragile republic and a country still holding its breath. Qing Qing leaves the capital without a word. In a small town, she starts anew as an anonymous palm reader, offering no stories of the palace or of Shen Tao.
Until one autumn afternoon, he returns—tired, wounded, and quiet. There are no grand reunions. Just presence.
He asks for a final reading. She declines. This time, she already knows.
That night, Qing Qing looks at her own hand and sees a line that has changed. Once cold and straight, it now curves—gently, beside another.
The empire is gone. The fire has passed. But fate, she realizes, is not written in the palm.
It is chosen.
